I also want to point out that Homeopathy and Naturopathy are two completely separate things and they get mixed up as one another a lot.
Naturopathy is... actually pretty well summed up by Derin, it's looking at the underlying cause of the symptoms and treating it, applying lifestyle changes to maintain health, but it does NOT advertise shit like snake oil for leukemia, aids, and polio. Naturopathic doctors are also highly trained, certified like any other healthcare provider, and can prescribe medications and refer to other departments, such as psychiatry, physical therapy, podiatry, ENTs, GIs, OB-GYNs, the general shebang. Any mom in her child's playroom knee-deep in excrement can call herself a homeopathic doctor and sell pyramid scheme products like Beach body and herbalife crap.
almost worse than someone putting a single snide comment in a salient post you otherwise agree with: a post with good medical advice you know to be true where it slowly becomes clear that op also practises homeopathy or something

Difference between Ayurveda and Homeopathy
Tumblr media
There is a developing acknowledgement of herbal remedies everywhere throughout the world. While both Homeopathic medicine and Ayurveda have a place with corresponding and elective medication systems, they are from altogether different schools of thought.
Ziffytech is a one-stop solution to all the needs, just login into the application and get the best Ayurvedic Doctors in Pune and Homeopaths in Pune.
The difference between Ayurveda and Homeopathic medicine
Ayurveda started in India over 3,500 years back. As indicated by Hindu mythology, Ayurvedic medicine started from Lord Dhanwantari.
Then again, the Homeopathic system of the drug was established by Samuel Christian Hahnemann 200 years back in Germany. In this manner, area and time of origin is the most evident contrast among Ayurveda and Homeopathic medicinal systems.
Ayurveda: Derived from two words – Ayur signifying “life” and Veda signifying “knowledge” – Ayurveda signifies “knowledge of life.” It is a holistic system with its own fundamental tenets.
Ayurveda underlines the balance between body, mind, and soul for healthy living. Keeping up ideal health and mitigating disease by utilizing Ayurvedic medicine is the goal of Ayurveda.
Ayurvedic medicine: Charak Samhita, the established text of Ayurvedic medication, prescribes incorporating regular kitchen herbs, for example, haridra and Fennel in different Ayurvedic meds.
Chyawanprash is a great immunity-enhancing Ayurvedic medicine got from the Indian gooseberry. Another generally utilized Ayurvedic medicine for stomach related disorders is Trikatu. Research on Ayurvedic drug holds guarantee since pretty much every Ayurvedic medicine recommended in traditional texts is ended up being strong in clinical preliminaries.
Homoeopathy: The word homoeopathy conjoins two words – homeo signifying “similar” and pathy signifying “science.”Homoeopathic medication is a system that stimulates our immune system to battle infection. “Guideline of similar” and “principle of dilution” are the two fundamental standards utilized in Homeopathic medications.
While homoeopathic professionals depend on symptoms for diagnosis, Ayurvedic doctors make utilization of “pulse diagnosis” just as side effects.
Homoeopathic cures: In Homeopathic remedies, highly diluted substances are recommended. Homeopathic Bach flower remedies use flowers saturated with sunlit water. Homoeopathic remedies are set up as indicated by the rules given in the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia.
In getting ready Homeopathic drug, the ingredients are diluted with refined water or alcohol and shaken vigorously. In this way, Homeopathic remedies have not many dynamic ingredients. This implies Homeopathic remedies don’t need to experience through wellbeing and adequacy testing.
Arnica, stinging nettle plant and Calcarea phosphorica are some regular Homeopathic remedies. These herbal remedies are utilized for restoring numerous conditions; however, scientific data supporting the cures remains unavailable. Further homoeopathic research is required since Homeopathic meds guarantee to be free of symptoms.
The difference in working and methodology
Ayurveda has a strong believes in the philosophy that the health of the human body depends on the three key components and needs to have a good balance. Any type of minor or major imbalance in these constituents causes disease.
The real eight orders of treatment which are associated with Ayurveda are the internal drug, paediatrics, medical surgery, psychiatry, toxicology, an anticipation of ailments and treatment by improving and fixing the resistance and immunity of the aphrodisiacs and body.
Homoeopathy believes in the “vitalist” philosophy. Various internal and external causes disturb the “vital force” which has a negative effect on the health of a person. Homoeopaths take into account the psychological state with the physical state of the person. The treatment method follows the “laws of similars” which means to treat a person with any particular disease needs to be treated with drugs that show the same symptoms as the disease.
History of Homeopathy and Ayurveda
Ayurveda has its existence in Hinduism since a very long time and has been mentioned in the Vedic text, Atharvaveda. The manuscript of Ayurveda dates back to the 4th century. Homoeopathy was invented by German physician Samuel Hahnemann is the eighteenth century.
All his research and work on different remedies was published in two books. During this time, homoeopathy reached to its next level of popularity and people prefer this treatment over other painful methods available in the market.
Although the popularity did not last for a long time due to heavy criticism by other medical physicians and practitioners, during this period of time homoeopathy was closed down around the 1920s. It was then got back into action during the 1970s all over the world.
Manufacturing of Medicine
Ayurvedic makes use of vegetable drugs for external use and internal consumption. Minerals like sulfur, arsenic, copper, lead, gold and animal items like milk, bones, and gallstones are added to the items and utilized for treatment. Ayurveda weights on exercise, yoga, massage and meditation for sound living.
Homoeopathic remedies use various synthetic materials, animal, mineral substance and various plant. The medicines are prepared by diluting the major substance in distilled water or alcohol and shook vigorously to pass on the properties of the substance to the dilution.
Reactions of Homeopathy and Ayurveda Ayurvedic treatment has been criticised by researchers because of the absence of adequate proof or clinical trials demonstrating the viability of the medications.
Likewise, there are security concerns with respect to utilizing a few herbs and minerals and different substances which may be harmful to people. A few doctors have portrayed Homeopathy as a misleading method of treatment.
Because of the high dilution of the medications utilized for treatment, it is contended that there is no trace of the original substance left in the weakening and along these lines, the difference found in the patient is credited to a misleading impact.
Despite the fact that it is a protected treatment with no symptoms found in people, it is prudent that individuals picking this treatment are instructed regarding the genuine idea of the substance.
Ayurvedic and Homeopathic Doctors are been visited by many patients suffering from common disorders and flu prefer taking up such natural medicines. Finding the best and reliable doctors in and around Pune is a difficult task.

You know how sometimes something goes horribly wrong, and while it’s happening you’re busy composing your angry rant in your head because THE INTERNET MUST HEAR OF THIS FUCKERY, and by the time you’re actually able to type it all out all you can think of is finding a bunch of gifs of people facepalming or maybe beating their heads against walls because the scope of the fuckery is great and you have slept one hour since 11 pm yesterday and words are hard?
I’ve had anxiety and depression for so long it’s actually very difficult to determine how long it’s been, because it’s just kind of the way my brain always worked.  For like twenty-five years, at least.  At some point around six years ago, give or take, my husband finally got me into therapy, and my psychologist recommended SSRIs, and I brought this up with my GP, who wrote a prescription.  I got very lucky and the first one I tried, citalopram, worked for me.  And it has continued to work, because as my therapist said, you don’t talk about someone being dependent on their eyeglasses or suggest they should wean themselves off of corrective lenses.
And my GP was fine with that; when I told her husband and I were trying to conceive she did raise a concern about a tenuous link between citalopram and birth defects, so I spoke to a psychiatrist, and eventually in consultation with him we decided it was an acceptable level of risk for us.  He was in favor of not changing anything; women with depression pre-natal are at elevated risk of post-partum depression, so he felt it was better to stick with what works the whole way through.  I was later very grateful I didn’t change or discontinue anything because infertility sent me into a massive depressive spiral even WITH a reliable SSRI to help keep me going.  I would not have wanted to be looking for a new and different medication while dealing with that.
But my doctor left the practice while I was pregnant and I got assigned to her replacement.  And apparently the HMO was making some policy changes, without telling me, and I never learned anything was up until I got a text from my pharmacy a few days ago saying my doctor wasn’t approving a refill on my citalopram.  I called to make an appointment to see the new GP, a bit concerned but hoping I could make a forceful case for keeping things as they were (see above re: PPD.)
I then waited an hour past my appointment time, for her to come in and tell me that there had been changes, and these things go through psych now, and it had to do with liability reasons (I am pretty sure she implied that she couldn’t afford the malpractice suit if I lost my shit and drove off the road and killed somebody?  I know that this is a legit concern for doctors, on account of a friend who is a psychiatrist, but I generally thought they saved that for kvetching with their friends and didn’t say it directly to patients.)
She said I should have been weaned off the meds years ago if I’d been consulting with a psychiatrist, even though I explained that I had been.  She brought up the risk of it passing through breastmilk even though, again, I’d spoken to a psychiatrist specifically about taking this in conjunction with pregnancy/childbirth.  She suggested natural remedies, things that were “not harmful,” and specifically brought up homeopathy.  HOMEOPATHY, y’all.  An actual doctor.
So I call the psychiatry line she gave me a referral to, and they tell me they have two options, one at a significant distance from me and the other not taking new patients, so I should call my insurance company.  And I am so, so tired.
